Learn all about Holacracy and why it's good to know. There is a long list of benefits including:
- Leaders & other people in the Organization feeling more energy, less burned out, and less tired.
- All members of an Organization, are not only able to be heard, but are able to easily make meaningful change in the organization, without interfering with anyone else's work getting done.
- People feel more supported and work feels more fun.
- Everyone's work, the Roles being filled in the Organization, and the whole Organization itself, all get more
- clarity
- organized
- efficient
- effective
- and there's better ability to measure results.
- Because it's easier to measure results, marketing and education happen more easily.
- Stakeholders are generally happier. The stakeholders include the workers, members, clients, suppliers or vendors, cooperating organizations, volunteers, and the local surrounding community.
- People experience feeling so much trust and support at work that they often express they wish their own spouses and kids were more like their co-workers.
- The Organization stays more on track following its Purpose.
- Therefore, the stakeholders feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves, that is doing good things in the world. That adds to people's intrinsic motivation.
- They are also AWARE of this through good communication lines and transparency of information inside the Organization.
- Because most self-managed Organizations, using Holacracy well, are more efficient and effective, generally there is more flow of resources.
- Because the organizational chart is used every day and every week, in real time, it is always current and useful, even as it changes dynamically.
- That current and transparent organizational chart makes it easier for people to shop for other Roles to fill within the Organization if they want to change Roles. When the right people are attracted and recruited into the Organization, that clarity makes it easier to find people who are the best fit for the Roles that are needed filled.
- People in the Organization stay more motivated, intrinsically and extrinsically.
- There is more cross training in the Organization. Therefore people can take time off for illness or vacation while tasks are still getting handled and the Organization is staying healthy.
- The clarity and transparency within the organization prevents the need to wonder or ask what happened at a meeting someone did not attend.
- People are more engaged in their work, more focused, more committed and loyal to the Organization, and yet are able to have more of a sense of ease at the same time.
- The Organization is more adaptable to meet the needs of each person, and to meet the needs of the whole Organization, even when the external environment (including economics of the region, country, continent) changes suddenly.
- People at most Holacratic organizations end up having long term job stability for life, if they want it.
- People at most Holacratic organizations, after they meet the initial requirements, get to have some ownership in the Organization they work for and in, including profit sharing.
This has been true for LOTS of for-profit and not-for-profit Organizations. This has included successful Organizations in a wide variety of fields and industries.
Some self-managed organizations have such an abundant flow of resources, they could afford to teach competitors what they were doing and thus expand their Organization's Purpose on a whole new level.
I can recommend some reading and some videos on this subject.
